BREAKING: Police arrest woman for attempting to kidnap three school children in Ekiti

There was pandemonium in Ado Ekiti when a strange woman named Kazeem Tawa, attempted to abduct three School Children who returning from school.

It was gathered that the residents of the area were raised the alarm when the woman attempted to abduct three School Children,
The woman who pleaded with their children to help her carry her bag containing some items to an unknown destination.
The children they refused initially but after a few moment of conversing with the woman, they became unconscious and started following the woman with her bag.
It took the quick intervention of some mechanics around who noticed their suspicious movement to stop them. When asked about the children, she claimed that the children belong to her. But the scenario changed immediately when the children countered her that she was not their mother.
The charm, soft drinks, oranges, drugs, adult/children’s slippers, fresh Banana, Maggi, Garri, clothes, INEC jackets, and others were found from the woman bag.
Meanwhile, the Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the incident.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Sunday Abutu affirmed that the woman was arrested after some residents around INEC Office, Bank Road, Ado-Ekiti raised an alarm that a strange woman, one Mrs Kazeem Tawa attempted to abduct three School Children.
According to him, upon the receipt of the information from the Good Samaritan, a team of joint patrol, comprising the Police, Army and other security agencies put in place by The Executive Governor of Ekiti State was dispatched to scene immediately and was able to rescue the children and apprehended the suspect.
The children while narrating their ordeal told the team that the woman pleaded with them to help her carry her bag containing some items to an unknown destination.

During interrogation by the personnel of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the woman could not satisfactorily state her mission and reason for trying to lead the school children to an unknown destination.
Mr Abutu said Investigation was ongoing and as soon as it is completed, the suspect would be charged to Court.
Items recovered are: charm, soft drinks, oranges, drugs, adult/children slippers, fresh banana, maggi, garri, clothes, INEC jackets, and others.
Newsflash had earlier reported that the South West security outfit, otherwise known as Amotekun, on Wednesday, January 27, had arrested a young man suspected to be kidnapper allegedly masquerading as a lunatic in Ikere Ekiti, headquarters of Ikere local government area of Ekiti State.
He was arrested on Wednesday evening at opposite Alade filling station, Oke Osun area, Akure road in the town.
Newsflash gathered that charms, phone, ropes and other dangerous weapons were found in his possession.
Some residents who could identify the suspect said he had always been presenting as a lunatic on the street not knowing that he was involved in such devilish act.
An eyewitness said the kidnapper confess they were 12 people who behave like lunatic sent to Ekiti from Osun State for the operation.
Recall that, similar kidnapper behaves like a lunatic had been caught in Ado Ekiti, the State capital on Sunday, January 17.
He was arrested at a abandoned uncompleted building located adjacent the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ado- Ekiti.
In the building, various pictures, human parts, charms and cheques collected from victims were found in his possession.
