BREAKING: Ondo deputy Gov, Agboola Ajayi, dumps APC, joins PDP

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, on Sunday, has resigned from the membership of the All Progressives Congress in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area of the State.
This came some hours after he was restrained from going out of the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, by the state Police Commissioner, Bolaji Salami and his team.
Tendering his resignation letter at the APC secretariat in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo LGA, Ajayi said everybody knew why he left the APC.
Shortly after, he went to the secretariat of the PDP in the ward where he announced his defection to the party and obtained his party card.
Newsflash247 had earlier reported that there was tension in Ondo State as the security operatives, led by the state Commissioner of Police, Salami Bolaji on Saturday’s night was acting out the order of the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to stop the state Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi from leaving the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure.
It was gathered that the security operatives were acting out the order of the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Daily Post reports.
The Deputy Governor was alleged to have looted government property from his lodge in his bid to take them to his personal house within the state capital.
He said it was unfortunate that the police were being used in the ongoing political battle in the state.
