BREAKING: Nollywood Actress, Ada Ameh, Is Dead

Nollywood veteran actress, Ada Ameh, is dead, a few weeks after opening up about her mental health challenges.

The actress, known for her role as Emu in Africa Magic family drama, “The Johnsons”, died on Sunday night.

According to the report, the actress reportedly collapsed and died on July 17 at around 11:00 p.m.

Ameh was said to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly collapsed.

It was gathered that she was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital in Delta State but passed on before they arrived at the facility.

The popular actress shared a video of her eating with the family around 12:53 pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page.

The actress, in 2020, had lost her only daughter Aladi Godgift Ameh, whom she gave birth to at the age of 14, following an unsuccessful surgery

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news to newsmen on Monday morning.

“We lost Ada. No details at the moment, but we’ve lost Ada,” Rollas said

However, viral unverified reports on social media claimed that the actress died Sunday night at a hospital in Delta State.

The actress a few weeks ago opened up about her mental health challenges.

“Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now that can take my life, but I won’t die. I would get over it,” the actress said in June.

“I was given a job but didn’t do it because I have mental health issues. Will people understand it if you have mental issues? No, they wouldn’t. They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay.”

Meanwhile, several movie stars have been trooping to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital on Monday morning to see her remains.

Ameh, who played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, is famous for her comic characters, especially in the series The Johnsons.

Born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos State.
