Nigeria on Monday night, June 1, has recorded another 416 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and twelve (12) deaths in nineteen (19) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,578 and 299 deaths.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Monday night, on its official Twitter account.
The new cases are spread across Lagos, Edo, Rivers, Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Borno, Oyo, Kastina, Abia, Delta, Adamawa, Kano, Imo, Ondo, Benue, Bauchi, Ogun and Niger states as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.
The centre also said that twelve (12) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 299.
NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 3122 patients were discharged.
According to the NCDC, “192 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 14 in the Federal Capital Territory, 41 in Edo, 33 in Rivers, 30 in Kaduna, 23 in Kwara, 18 in Nasarawa, 17 in Borno, 10 in Oyo and 7 in Kastina.
It also revealed that five cases each were recorded in Abia and Delta States, four each cases were also recorded in Adamawa and Kano States, three cases each also recorded in Imo and Ondo States, two cases recorded in Benue, Bauchi and Ogun States while one case recorded in Niger State.
