Nigeria on Sunday night, May 31, has recorded another 307 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and fourteen (14) deaths in fourteen (14) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,162 and 287 deaths.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Sunday night, on its official Twitter account.
The new cases are spread across Lagos, Ogun, Kaduna, Oyo, Bayelsa, Gombe, Kano, Delta, Imo, Rivers, Niger, Bauchi, Plateau and Kwara States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.
The centre also said that fourteen deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 287.
NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 3007 patients were discharged.
According to the NCDC, “188 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 44 in the Federal Capital Territory, 19 in Ogun, 14 in Kaduna, 12 in Oyo, 9 in Bayelsa, 5 in Gombe.
It also revealed that three cases recorded in Kano and Delta States, two each cases were also recorded in Imo, Rivers, Niger and Bauchi States while one case recorded in Plateau and States.

As at now, 10,162 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria with 3,007 patients discharged and 287 deaths recorded.
