BREAKING: Nigeria records 17 dead as Coronavirus cases rise to 493
Nigeria on Friday night, April 16, has recorded the total number of 17 coronavirus-related deaths the country, 11 patients died in Lagos, two in Abuja, one each in Kano, Edo, Delta, and Katsina.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday night, announced another 51 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in Seven states and Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 493 and 17 deaths.
NCDC made the announcement on its official Twitter account.
The new cases are spread across Lagos, Kano, Oyo, Kwara, Kastina, Ogun and Ekiti states as well as Abuja, the country capital.
According to the breakdown, Lagos recorded 32 cases; two in the FCT, six in Kano, two in Oyo, five in Kwara, two in Kastina, one in Ogun and one in Ekiti..
