Nigeria on Monday night, May 25, has recorded another 229 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and Seven (7) deaths in fourteen (14) states as well as Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 8,068 and 233 deaths.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Monday night, on its official Twitter account.
The new cases are spread across Lagos, Katsina, Imo, Kano, Pleteau, Ogun, Delta, Borno, Rivers, Oyo, Gombe, Osun, Anambra and Bayelsa States as well as country capital, Abuja.
The centre also said that seven death from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 233.
NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 2,311 patients were discharged.
NCDC said “90 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 27 in Kastina, 26 in Imo, 23 in Kano, 14 in the Federal Capital Territory, 12 in Plateau, 9 in Ogun, 7 in Delta.
The tweet further revealed that five cases each were recorded in Borno and Rivers States, 5 in Oyo, 4 in Gombe, 2 in Osun, one each case recorded Anambra and Bayelsa States.
As at now, 8068 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2,311 patients discharged and 233 deaths recorded.
