BREAKING: Many Trapped As Three-Storey Building Collapses In Ebute Metta
A three-storey building on Sunday night collapsed at 32, Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos, Newsflash Nigeria learnt.
Many people are said to have been trapped in the rubble, following the collapse of the building on Sunday.
Operatives of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), and the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) are currently at the scene of the accident.
According to the Lagos Fire Service, search and rescue are currently underway.
The announcement read, “An alert of a collapse of a three-storey building by 32 Ibadan Street, Ebute Meta was received at 21:48 hours, Sunday with Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service already at the scene.
“Search and Rescue ongoing with updates to follow, please.”
This incident is the second Yaba-Ebutta Meta axis in the last two months.
On February 13, a three-storey building collapsed in the Onike area of Yaba, leading to several casualties
The developer of the project was said to have returned to the site despite a stop-work order on the structure.
