Kwara and Oyo states on Friday evening, have recorded new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman, governor of Kwara State, who announced that five new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state.
In a tweet late Thursday, the governor made the announcement, advising residents to stay safe.
” We have 5 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Kwara. Please, everyone, keep safe.
“Together, we will overcome this”.
With the announcement, a total of nine cases have been confirmed in the state.
Similarly, Oyo State has recorded two new Coronavirus cases.
Governor Seyi Makinde made this known on Friday night in a post on his Twitter account.
He said, “During the COVID-19 Task Force meeting today, we were informed that two more tests came back positive.
“So, we have four new cases from the tests being conducted at Adamasigba Stadium.
“This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to seven.”
