BREAKING: Kidnapped Ex-Ekiti Council Boss regains freedom
Bamidele was the Ikere local caretaker chairman during the first administrator of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
A former Chairman of Ikere Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Adesoji Bamidele, who was kidnapped last Sunday, has regained freedom.
Newsflash247 had reported that the former Chairman, Hon Adesoji Bamidele, popularly known as BAMICO and two others were kidnapped in Ikere Ekiti.
Bamidele was the Ikere local caretaker chairman during the first administrator of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Confirming his release to newsmen, the younger brother of the victim, Mr Ezekiel Bamidele said the family paid a ransom of five million naira (N5m) before he was released in the early hours of Saturday (3:00am).
Mr Ezekiel noted that the former council boss was released in the same place where he was kidnapped.
Hon Bamidele Adesoji, Agboola Daisi and one other named withheld were abducted on Sunday evening as they were returning from a farm on the Ikere – Ise road in Ikere Ekiti, the Ikere Council area of the State.
Three days ago, Agboola Daisi, one of the victims escaped from the custody of the kidnappers.
Agboola Daisi escaped from kidnappers den on Thursday afternoon around 3.30pm accompanied by security officers to the ex-council boss house.
