BREAKING: Kano records two of Coronavirus cases
The Kano State government, on Monday, April 13, has recorded 2 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 3.
According to the Ministry of Health led by Osagie Ehanire, on Monday, April 13, made the announcement Monday evening on its verified Twitter account.
The index case was announced by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Saturday when a retired diplomat, Kabiru Rabiu, tested positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday night, April 13, has announced the extension of the restriction of movement in Lagos, Ogun States as well as the Federal Capital Territory by another 14 days over the Coronavirus pandemic.
The president, in a nationwide broadcast on Monday night, said the extension became imperative following the increasing number of cases being reported on a daily basis in the country.
According to the president” “With this in mind and having carefully considered the briefings and report from the Presidential Task Force and the various options offered, it has become necessary to extend the current restriction of movement in Lagos and Ogun States as well as the FCT for another 14 days effective from 11:59 pm on Monday, 13th of April, 2020. I am therefore once again asking you all to work with Government in this fight.”
