BREAKING: Hoodlums set police station ablaze in Ekiti

Suspected hoodlums disguising as #EndSARS protesters on Tuesday set the Afao Police Station, along Ado road in Ikere Ekiti, the headquarters of Ikere Local government Area Ekiti State on fire.

The incident occurred around 10.45 am, according to an eyewitness.

The eyewitness noted that policemen shot at the hoodlums before they set the police station ablaze.

Newsflash247 had earlier reported that some operatives of Ikere Division Police, along Igbara-Odo road in Ikere-Ekiti on Saturday fled for safety when some hoodlums attacked the division.

It was learnt the hoodlums, who were victims of police unethical conduct had earlier blocked some major roads in town before invading the station.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that some of the police officers in the station took to their heels on sighting the irate hoodlums.
