BREAKING: Gunmen shoot Varsity Director in Akure – Ado Ekiti road
It was learnt that the gunmen who were hiding in the bush along the road attacked the director’s vehicle and shot severally at his vehicle in an attempt to stop him from fleeing.
Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked the Director of Physical Planning of the College of Education Ikere (now Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology), Mr Ajewole along the Ado Ekiti – Akure road.
The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday evening between Itaogbolu and Akure axis of the busy highway.
The Director was rushed to undisclosed hospital.

Reports had it that the director was hit by some of the bullets rained at his vehicle.
This is coming barely few hours after gunmen kidnapped all the passengers in an Abuja-bound commercial bus along the Benin-Auchi road in Edo State.
Tuesday’s kidnap in the state adds to the worsening insecurity across Nigeria.
