BREAKING: Gunmen kidnap six sand suppliers in Ekiti

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted six sand suppliers in Ikere Ekiti in the Ikere local government area of Ekiti State.

Newsflash Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday evening around 4:00 pm in the Oko Aso area along Ikere-Ise road in the town.

Six people were kidnapped; five males and one female while loading stones on the farm which were expected to be suppliers to their consumers.

The suspected criminals who were fully armed whisked the six victims away to a yet-to-be-disclosed destination.

Newsflash Nigeria gathered that about 12 Northerners who are the workers of these victims were asked to run away by gunmen and kidnapped the six indigenes among them.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Sunday Abutu, could not be reached to confirm the incident, as he did not pick up his calls.
