Unknown gunmen suspected to be Bandits have kidnapped a man yet to be identified on Thursday, along Ise Akoko-isua road in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State while his driver was shot dead.
How the kidnapping operation was carried out had not been revealed as at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the lifeless body of the driver was found inside the car in the pool of his own blood while his boss had been dragged into the bush to an unknown destination.
The case was said to have been reported at the police station in Ikare Akoko.
After the report, it was gathered the police swung into action and moved to the scene of the incident.
On getting to the scene, the policemen recovered the vehicle of the victim and evacuated the body of the dead driver.
Confirming the incident, the Ikare Akoko Police Area Commander, Razak Rauf, said the police would comb the forest to rescue the victim and arrest the criminal elements.
The corpse of the driver was said to been deposited at the mortuary of the state specialist hospital Ikare Akoko.
