BREAKING: Court Grants Fayose Permission to Travel Abroad
A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday granted leave to former Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, to travel abroad for medical attention.
The court also ordered the release of his international passport for the said travel.
Fayose is standing trial on a 11-count charge bordering on alleged money laundering to the tune of N6.9 billion while he was governor in Ekiti State, brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former governor was first arraigned on Oct. 22. 2018, before Justice Mojisola Olatotegun,
He pleaded not guilty, and was granted bail on Oct. 24, 2018, in the sum of N50 million with two sureties in like sum.
