BREAKING: Atiku defeats Wike, Saraki, others in PDP presidential primaries
Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President has been declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential primary.
Atiku defeated the governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike; Bukola Saraki, Udom Emmanuel, Bala Muhammed and others to pick the party’s ticket.
He scored 371 votes to defeat 12 other aspirants who contested the election held, on Saturday, at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abuja.
Wike, who was his closest challenger, got 237 votes despite Tambuwal stepping down for Atiku.
Teriela Oliver and Sam Ohuabunwa had one vote, Pius Anyim had 14, Udom Emmanuel had 20 votes, Bukola Saraki had 70 votes while 12 votes were voided.

Atiku was the candidate of PDP during the 2019 Presidential election, but he lost to President Muhammdu Buhari who was the candidate of the APC in the race.
