BREAKING: Again, gunmen attack Niger communities, abduct many

Unknown gunmen again have attacked some Communities in the Gurmana ward of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, barely 12 hours after bandits kidnapped some students at Kagara secondary school.
Newsflash gathered that the gunmen stormed the villages; Sarkin Zama, Bakin Kogi (Lagbe), Siyiko, and other adjoining villages on Wednesday evening.
The operation which lasted for hours was said to have recorded some casualty, but that could not be immediately verified by our correspondent.
Concerned Shiroro Youths, Sani Kokki, said some died while others who sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries were rushed to various health facilities for medical attention.
Kokki said scores of others were also abducted and taken to unknown destinations.
“Countless deadly attacks have become daily occurrences, thereby compelling the affected victims to live at the mercy of hydra-headed monsters. Defenceless, unarmed, and peaceful locals have been abandoned to their fate,” Kokki added.
Newsflash reported that no fewer than 27 students of Government Science College Kagara, 3 teachers, two non teaching staff and 9 family members of the staff staying in the quarters were kidnapped on Wednesday morning.
It was gathered that the bandits invaded the school around 3 am and killed one of the students.
“At about 3 am last night, bandits attacked Government Science College in Kagara, killing one and abducting an unknown number of students.
“Some staff members, their spouses, children were also abducted by the bandits,” a source said.
