Ekiti State government, on Sunday, June 21, has recorded another two new cases of the COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the State to 34 and two deaths.
The State government announced on Sunday, on EKITI COVID19 UPDATES official Twitter account, saying, two new cases recorded in Ekiti.
“Ekiti State Government can confirm two (2) new #COVID19 positive cases whose result came back last night.
“This brings the total confirmed cases in Ekiti State to thirty-four (34), of which six (6) active, twenty-six (26) discharged, and two (2) deaths”.
Meanwhile, Nigeria, on Saturday night, June 20, has recorded another 661 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in fourteen (14) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 19,808 and 506 deaths.
According to the NCDC, who announced on Saturday night, on its official Twitter account.
The centre also said that four (4) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 506.
NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 6,718 patients were discharged.
As of now, 19,808 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria, with 6,718 patients discharged and 506 deaths recorded.
