Applicants For Police Job Hit 104,289, Niger Highest With 7,985
Twelve days after the portal for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) was opened, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has so far received 104,289 applications from interested Nigerians.
The portal, which was opened on November 30, 2018, is expected to close on January 11, 2019, in compliance with the six weeks requirement by the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
Ikechukwu Ani, PSC spokesperson who disclosed this, said that Niger State had the highest number of applicants with 7,985, while Bayelsa State had the least with just 347, even as Kano State was second with 7,513, followed by Katsina with 6,820.
Ani also added that Bauchi State was fourth with 6,204, while Kaduna State had with 5,729 applicants.
He stressed that following Bayelsa from the rear was Lagos State with only 516 applicants; Ebonyi, 600; Anambra, 605; Abia State, 733 and Imo State with 870 applicants.
He said that out of the 104,289 applications received so far by the commission, 93,871 were males, while 10,418 were females.
