APC Crisis: Unity Forum joins Obasanjo’s Party, ADC

Members of the Unity Forum, a breakaway faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State today finally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The forum, who met Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta last week.

Our correspondent gathered that the group, this morning finalised all discussion to move to ADC at one of the houses of a strong member of the group in Ibadan.

Some of the leaders of the group at the meeting where the decision was taken were some of the governorship aspirants among whom was Dr. Kola Balogun; Dr. Adeolu Akande and Alhaji Yunus Akintunde.

Others included Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Abdul Wasi, Chairman of the forum’s faction of APC, Alhaji Isiaka Alimi.

Spokesman of the group, Mr. Wasiu Olawale Sadare, who confirmed the defection to ADC via his Facebook page this afternoon, said that the forum has finally landed in ADC.

Sadare said, “Finally, Unity Forum Lands in ADC.”
