Akeredolu shuts hotel suspected to be housing kidnappers in Ondo
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday, has shut a popular hotel in Akure over the rising insecurity in the state.
The hotel named Imperial Hotel located at Ilaje Street in the Ijapo area, Akure, the state capital was suspected to be housing kidnappers.
The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Special Duties, Doyin Odebowale, disclosed this on Monday.
The state government’s action came barely a week after a popular nightclub in the town known as Bola Komo was shut for a similar reason.

Odebowale explained that the decision of the government became imperative because the affected hotel had allegedly become a security risk to the residents of the Akure Community.
He said, “The state government would not allow any hotel to use its facilities as the den of criminals.”
