The Governor of Ondo state, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu suffered terrible humiliation at the APC NEC meeting on Tuesday, April 27.
The impetuous governor who spoke at the NEC meeting in support of Mr. Muiz Banire tried to argue against President Buhari’s remarks on elongation was asked to sit down. Hon Doguwa, the chief whip of the House of reps told Akeredolu that he was disrespectful and arrogant. He asked Akeredolu if he had elders at home.
Also, after Vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo countered the governor and cautioned him from speaking as if he were judge, and Akeredolu wanted to respond, Senator Adamu Abdullahi asked to sit down or get himself beaten.
Akeredolu stammered and managed and wobbled to his seat.
In his reaction, President Buhari referred to Banire and Akeredolu as SANs who unfortunately did not acquaint themselves sufficiently with the party and nation’s constitution and added that he was lucky to have a very sound Prof of law and SAN as his vice and also an Attorney Gen who is also a very knowledgeable SAN
