Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a woman with her 4-year-old girl in Ayebode Ekiti-Ilasa road in the Ekiti East Local Government Area of Ekiti State, demanding N50 million ransom to secure their release.
It was gathered the incident on Sunday evening around 3 pm.
According to one of the family’s victims who raised the alarm about the incident on social media.
The family said her younger sister and four years old girl ran into the arm of kidnappers on their way to Ilasa Ekit and the hoodlums requested N50 million before they can release her sister and baby girl.
“Good day family and friends, my younger sister and her 4 years old baby girl was on their way to ilasa ekit yesterday afternoon 3 pm when they ran into the arm of kidnappers who eventually contacted the family around 9 pm.
“They requested for N50 million naira, however, negotiation is ongong.
“We the family hereby request for your kind donation toward their release.
“It is sad to hear that the baby hasn’t been fed since yesterday afternoon and she’s out of energy to walk.
“Please no amount is too small. May we not repay ourselves in this way. No amount is too small to save the life of my sister. First bank plc 3037456392 Tawose Temidayo Victor”.
This incident occurred barely 24 hours after suspected kidnappers abducted a teacher identified as Mrs Awoniyi along the same route.
The Ilasa-Ayebode road is a route where kidnappers abducted many Ekiti citizens.

Two months ago, kidnappers engaged soldiers in a shootout in two different locations in Ayebode and Ilasa communities.
On September 20, a couple who billed to officially wed three days to their ceremony were kidnapped by gunmen along the Ilasa Ekiti-Ayebode Ekiti Road.
The couple were returning from Ado Ekiti, the state capital, where they had gone to purchase some commodities in preparation for their wedding when they were accosted by the hoodlums.
On October 22, three passengers travelling from Ayedun-Ekiti to Ilasa-Ekiti were kidnapped along the road.
Though, the Ekiti police command has yet to release any statement about this incident at the time of filing this report.
