moments ago defeated their Guinean counterparts to become the first
team to qualify for the knock out stages of the ongoing African Nations
Cup taking place in far away Egypt even with a game to spare.
The Gernot Rohr – tuted side attained the feat after pipping the
Guinean team one – nil courtesy of a 73rd minute second half strike by
defender Kenneth Omeruo.
With this result, the team has now secured six maximum points from
two games following their first match one-nil win over Burundi.
