Acting CJN Did Not Attend Law School – NBA [VIDEO]

On Monday, Nigerian Lawyers protested the removal of Justice Walter Onnoghen in Abuja by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari had earlier suspended Onnoghen after the Code of Conduct Tribunal instructed him to do so.

Onnoghen was replaced by Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed in an acting capacity and has already performed the function of swearing in 250 people into the electoral tribunal. Before his appointment, he was formerly a Justice of the Nigerian court of appeal

Buhari’s actions angered Nigerian Lawyers and Nigerians as a whole. His action was what triggered the protest.

During the protest, a lawyer by name Okere Kingdom disclosed that Justice Tanko Mohammed should not be the acting CJN because he studied Sharia Law and not Nigerian Law.
