The Abia state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has sacked the Chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo over allegations of lack of transparency and accountability.
This is contained in a communique issued at the at end of a meeting of the Executive Members of the party on Tuesday to take a critical look at affairs of the party in the state.
According to the communique signed by 19 members, the Executive Members also appointed the Deputy chairman P.C Onyegbu to step in as the Chairman of the party on acting capacity and directed him to set up a 7 member panel to investigate the alleged illegalities and maladministration of the sacked chairman.
