Why our agency stormed PDP presidential primary venue – EFCC PRO, Wilson Uwujaren
The Public Relations Officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Wilson Uwujaren, has revealed the reason why the anti-graft agency stormed the ongoing presidential primary elections of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
NEWSFLASH NIGERIA had earlier reported that the operatives of the EFCC had stormed the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abuja, the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election.
The agency arrived at the venue around 4:40 pm.
But the anti-graft agency’s Public Relations Officer, Wilson Uwujaren, said its operatives stormed the primary elections to monitor delegates’ inducement and financial malpractices.

Uwujaren said, “Our operatives are at the ongoing PDP presidential primary elections at the MKO Abiola Stadium to monitor the exercise, and most especially, to check delegates’ inducement and other financial malpractices”.
NEWSFLASH NIGERIA reports of alleged vote-buying and bribing of delegates at the event.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the party, Senator lyorchia Ayu, has declared the convention open.
He declared the convention open shortly after delivering his speech at 6:30 pm.
His declaration signals the commencement of the activities for the presidential primary election of the party.
No fewer than 773 delegates would elect the party’s standard-bearer for the 2023 election.
