BREAKING: Fulani Group Buys N100 Million APC Presidential Form For Jonathan
Fulani group on Monday purchased the N100 million Presidential form of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The former president becomes the 25th aspirant to pick the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms for the May 30 primary.
The Fulani group stormed the International Conference Centre, Abuja to purchase the form for him.
The Fulani group sporting fez caps with the inscription ‘run Jonathan run’, said Jonathan is the most qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Fulani group, Nomadic Pastoralists and Almajarai Community led by Ibrahim Abdullahi said they believed in the capacity of Dr Jonathan because of his pan Nigerian outlook while in office.
Abdullahi and his group recalled what he called the “comprehensive policy of the Goodluck Jonathan administration of reformation and integration of the Almajarai into the educational system of Nigeria.
“It was the dream and the vision of President Jonathan to produce doctors, lawyers and engineers from Almajarai but unfortunately that laudable vision was abandoned once he left office.
“Another group that he tried to develop was the Fulani Pastoralists. I believe if this government has continued with his vision, Nigeria would have become Denmark, the Holland of entire Africa, in terms of livestock production, in terms of milk, beef and so on.
“Looking at this situation, the problems Nigeria today is facing, we need a leader with that kind of patriotism, a leader with that kind of fairness, a leader who can give all Nigerians a sense of belonging is who we need.
“That person is Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. We are ready not only to purchase this form for President Jonathan but I want to assure you that our Community, the Nomadic Pastoralists, has a voting population of about 9million youths, who can also produce about 5 million! So, we have about 14 million voters. We have other Nigerians who can give us 2million votes and we are home and dry.”
Although Jonathan isn’t a member of the APC, speculations have intensified in recent weeks that he is set to switch from the Peoples Democratic Party to contest for President in 2023.
NEWSFLASH NIGERIA had reported on April 22, 2022, that the protesters stormed the Abuja private office of Jonathan, urging him to declare for the 2023 presidential race.
A spokesman for the group, Mayor Samuel, who is also the convener of the Youth Compatriots of Nigeria said, “We were deceived and brainwashed by those who claimed they could do it in 2015.

“Now, we know better, under Jonathan the minimum wage could buy one or two bags of rice. What do we have today? We are begging President Jonathan to forgive us, we have realized our mistakes, and we want him back to complete what he started.
Reacting, Jonathan said I know you are “here to ask me to declare, I cannot declare because some processes are still ongoing.”
“Yes you are calling me to come and declare for the next election, I cannot tell I’m declaring.
“The political process is ongoing just watch out. The key role you must play is that Nigeria must get somebody that will carry young people along.”
NEWSFLASH NIGERIA understands that if elected as President again, Jonathan can only serve for one term of four years, according to the constitution.
He was first elected in 2011 after completing the tenure of his former boss, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
President Buhari defeated Jonathan in the 2015 presidential elections.
