2023: Northern group picks Tinubu/Ganduje as presidential ticket
A northern political group, the Tinubu Peoples Network (TPN) has declared Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as their chosen candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket for 2023 polls.
The group which stated that there is no better person to lead Nigeria at the moment also picked current Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as their preferred running mate for Tinubu.
Announcing the Tinubu/Ganduje ticket, TPN emphasized the importance of having the right people as leaders of the country come 2023.
The coordinator of the group, Muhammad Tajo Nagoda pointed out that the antecedents of Tinubu in office as the Lagos State Governor as well as the current achievements being recorded by Ganduje in Kano influenced their choice of the two persons as their candidates for the 2023 presidential election.
He said they will do all within their power to ensure the two finally emerge as APC candidates and eventually as President and Vice President respectively.
“To us at TPN here in Kano, we believe that there is a need for a proper choice of leader for Nigeria in 2023, a leader with the ability to articulate and adhere to and advocate for peaceful democracy in a turbulent political atmosphere.”

“We need a patriotic Nigerian with vision and commitment to developmental goals, a leader that has set the exemplary benchmark in the task of building a nation.”
“To us here the best leader for Nigeria in 2023 is none but Alhaji Bola Ahmad Tinubu. We here in the north especially have no better candidate than him”
He urged Nigerians not to consider the tribe or religious affinity of Tinubu and Ganduje, but rather look at people who can lead Nigeria to the promised land.
“What should concern us more should not be issues like religion or tribe but the commitment to the course of the people as well as the ability to deliver, and this is what both Tinubu and Ganduje have displayed,” he added.
