Nigeria Drop One Spot In Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped one place from the previous 50th to 51st position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world ranking released on Thursday.
Also in the ranking, Nigeria dropped one place on the continent from number eight to ninth position, while West Africa rival, Ghana moved from ninth to the eighth spot in Africa and 50th in the world.
There are few changes in the top ten positions in Africa, but the likes of Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco, the other Africa’s representatives at 2018 FIFA World Cup all maintained their previous positions, as they are ranked in the 23rd, 27th, 31st, and 40th respectively.
Super Eagles’ Group D opponents at the World Cup Argentina, Croatia and Iceland were not left out in the ranking. Argentina maintained their previous number four spot, Croatia moved up one spot to 17th while Iceland dropped to number 22 in the world latest ranking.
Germany, Brazil, and Portugal still maintained their top three spots in the world, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, France and another South American nation, Chile all maintain their previous positions to complete the top ten in the world ranking.
