BREAKING: 254 in Lagos as Nigeria records 387 new cases of COVID-19, total now 9302

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Jigawa, Edo, Oyo, Rivers, Kaduna, Borno, Kano, Plateau, Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi and Ondo States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.

Nigeria on Friday night, May 29, has recorded another 387 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and two (2) deaths in thirteen (13) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 9302 and 261 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Friday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Jigawa, Edo, Oyo, Rivers, Kaduna, Borno, Kano, Plateau, Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi and Ondo States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.

The centre also said that two deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 261.

NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 2,697 patients were discharged.

According to the NCDC, “254 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 29 in the Federal Capital Territory, 24 in Jigawa, 22 in Edo, 15 in Oyo, 14 in Rivers, 11 in Kaduna.

It also revealed that six cases recorded in Borno, three in Kano, two each cases were recorded in Plateau, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi, while one case recorded in Ondo State.

As at now, 9302 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2,697 patients discharged and 261 deaths recorded.
