Coronavirus: Lagos Records 70 New Cases in One Day
The Lagos State Government on Monday, April 20, has announced 70 more cases from COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 376 and 13 deaths.
This is according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night, saying 86 new cases of Covid-19 in six states and Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 627 and 21 deaths.
The new cases are spread across Lagos, Katsina, Akwa-Ibom, Jigawa, Borno and Bauchi states as well as Abuja, the country capital.
The NCDC in its update via Twitter reported that 70 of the new cases confirmed were in Lagos state.
Breaking down the cases confirmed, the NCDC noted that 7 new cases were discovered in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Borno state.
The 86 new cases recorded on Sunday bring the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 627.
