Drama At National Assembly As Lawmakers Boo Buhari When Presenting 2019 Budget

There was a mild drama on Wednesday while President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2019 proposed budget before a joint session of the National Assembly.

Opposition lawmakers booed the President as he highlighted some of the successes so far recorded by his administration.

The actions of the lawmaker made the President to issue a warning, saying: “The world is watching us and we are supposed to be above this.”

While some lawmakers clapped for the President as he reeled out the successes recorded under his administration so far, others could be heard countering his claims, saying, “Lie, lie, that is real wack”, “propaganda”.

miffed by the continuous booing, the All Progressives Congress lawmakers attacked their counterparts in the PDP, leading to exchange of blows while the president went ahead with his budget proposal.

Trouble started after some APC lawmakers seized the placards which some of their PDP colleagues planned to use in protesting against the president.

When President Buhari said, “We have weathered the storms and made progress on every front,” and that “The economy has recovered well,‎” the PDP lawmakers thundered, “Nooooo! and Boooo!”
