PDP hails court ruling over nullifying Kashamu’s expulsion
The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday hailed the court ruling that nullified the expulsion of the lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Buruji Kashamu; the factional State Chairman, Engr. Adebayo Dayo and others.
The court, in a ruling that was delivered by Justice Valentine Ashi, on Wednesday, equally set aside the expulsion of Kashamu and Dayo.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abeokuta, Dayo said with the ruling the judiciary has lived up to its duty as last hope of common man.
He said “Our hope is further reinforced that the judiciary has once again lived up to its billing as the hope of the common man.
“We thank God for showing that He is the most powerful. He traps the wise in their own cleverness so their cunning schemes are thwarted.
“That is why He showed His hands at the National Convention in Port Harcourt and now in our illegal expulsion. These developments have reinforced my belief that indeed the victory of evil over good is temporary.
“Now that the false blockade that the masters of impunity mounted has been demolished, it is time for all genuine stakeholders within the Ogun State PDP family to come together and work for the good of the party and the teeming masses of our people who are yearning for the PDP to return to power.”
