30 APC leaders dump party to join PDP in Ekiti
No fewer than 30 leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday, have decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Orin Ora in Ido Osi local government Area of Ekiti state.
The State party’s Secretary and a former Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Hon Funmi T Ogun received the decampee in Orin Ora ward.
In a statement released by Ogun’s spokesman, Dimeji Olayinka Tenibiaje, said over 30 APC loyalists led by Mrs Felicia Ajayi have joined the PDP.
According to him, Mrs Felicia Ajayi, one of the APC stalwart in Orin Ekiti today led over 30 APC loyalists to join the party.
Mrs Felicia Ajayi and Hon Lawrence Ojo who spoke on behalf of the Decampees pledged their loyalties to Hon Funmi T Ogun, a former Commissioner for Works and Transportation in Ekiti and also to the leadership of Dr Peter ayodele Fayose (Osokomole).
In the meeting, some members of the ward who also showered encomium and prayers on her for her care and upliftment of the ward further pledged their fully support for her vision and aspiration.
Mrs Funmi T Ogun in her own address encouraged the party faithfuls to be firm and resolute in the vision of unseating the clueless and rudderless APC government.
Speaking further, she said that Peoples Democratic party is very much open to accommodate new members and those from the ruling APC is an added bonus.
