2023: If Nigerians make me president, I will build 20th-century economy – Orji Kalu
The business mogul, who spoke on a radio programme in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, stressed that he’s capable of ruling Nigeria, The Sun reports.
The former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has assured Nigerians of a 20th-century economy if made a president.
Kalu, the Senate Chief Whip ensured Nigerians of jobs, if elected as president.
The business mogul, who spoke on a radio programme in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, stressed that he’s capable of ruling Nigeria, The Sun reports.
“The problem is who is capable of doing the job. For now, I am focusing on my constituency; there is a lot of job to be done.
“If the people of Nigeria want me to be president, they will show the hand.
“I can do the job. I can build a 20th-century economy for our people,” Kalu said.
Recall that Kalu expressed interest to rule Nigeria, if given the opportunity
He made the remark when he visited Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd) and Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) on Monday, in Minna.

“I am still in the Senate, and I will seek for re-election into the Senate, but if our people want me to serve as President I will not hesitate,” NAN quoted him as saying.
He maintained that there was no zoning in the APC constitution, adding that anyone in the APC can contest for the position of the President.
Speaking on the insecurity issue in the country, Kalu alleged that there was sabotage in the country’s security system.
He, however, expressed optimism that the National Assembly would continue to collaborate with the executive in tackling the security challenges in the country.
