Lere Olayinka, spokesman to former governor Ayo Fayose has been declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary for the Ekiti Centre Constituency II of the House of Representatives.
Olayinka on Sunday in Aramoko Ekiti polled a total of 54 votes to defeat a rival, Mr Victor who scored 45 votes for the position.
Declaring the result, the Returning Officer said that a total of 99 delegates of the party were accredited to vote in the primary and all voted at the end of the day.
Returning Officer declared Olayinka as the winner, having polled 54 votes which were the highest.
NEWSFLASH NIGERIA reports that the result was declared in the presence of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agents.
On his part, Olayinka appreciated the party and the delegates for the peaceful conduct of the election and for voting for him.
