2019 Elections: Buhari Will Still Win – Ngige Tells Igbos

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s President who is seeking a second term in office will win the 2019 presidential election without the votes of the South East Igbos.

The assertion is coming from Chris Ngige, Labour Minister, who advised the Igbos to make hay while the sun shines.

The minister who described himself as a prophet the people should listen to stated this while addressing stakeholders and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra on Tuesday.

He is among top officials of the Buhari administration who are promising geo-political zones that their principal will hand over to them should he be re-elected.

At the event, Mr Ngige described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates as “deceivers.”

“I’m a prophet the Igbo should listen to. I said it in 2015 and I am saying it again to Ndigbo that Buhari will win the 2019 presidential election convincingly,” the minister said.

“It will be good and in the interest of the Igbo if we give Buhari another four years. By then, it will be ‘a pass and pass out’ for him instead of giving these sugar-coated PDP deceivers the chance to come and destroy and take this country to the precipice again.

“Those who abandoned the party at the last minute, thinking the party would not win any election would live to regret it.

“We should give President Muhammadu Buhari maximum support in the 2019 general elections, that is the only and shortest way to get the presidency for the Igbo,” Ngige added.

Neither the President nor his party, the APC, has made known their position on the promises being made by officials of the government.
